Commercial Projects

"After relocating to Oregon and founding Lodestone in 2007, I've had the opportunity to work with some of Portland's top local commerical production houses, including Bent Image Lab, Hinge Digital, and LAIKA House. Below are a selection of TV commericals produced at Bent, a 3DS Max house, and at LAIKA and Hinge Digital, both Maya houses."

Airwick "Frog" (TV Commerical)
I animated the "Mother Frog" in this commercial, and wrote a basic UI for her and the other characters using MaxScript. After a decade of working exclusively in Maya, it was my first professional experience using 3DS Max.
Airwick "Ant" - (TV Commercial)
I shared animating the Ants in this commercial with freelancer, Eric Scheur. Before animation began, I created the Ant rigs and UI's with Roland Gauthier. Roland would later go on to found Hinge Digtial, another top-flight Portland production company.
Popsicle "Space Camp" (TV Commercial)
I created the body rigs, facial rigs, and the UI's, for the Kids in this commercial. The Kids were bald when I handed them off, but are now having great hair days thanks to Bent TD, Josh Cox. The animation is couretsy of the Bent CG animation team.
Koodo Mobile "Launch" (TV Commerical)
This is one of several Koodo spots that I worked on at Bent that featured wrestler and ladies' man, "El Tabador". I created the rig for this character in 3DS Max, and assembled a UI for the animators in Adobe Flash.
Ensure "Nutrition In Charge" - (TV Commercial)

This Ensure commercial was part of a continuing TV and print campaign, and was produced at Bent. I created the character rigs and the UI's for the "Ensure Bottle", as well as for all of the Fruit, Veggie, Corndog, and Muffin characters.
Family Channel "Sir Lion" - (TV Bumper)

These Canadian Family Channel bumpers were a lot of fun to work on, thanks to some very imaginative character design. I was responsible for the rigging and the UI's for all of the major characters in this four-spot series. In this spot, "Sir Veillance" and "Sir Round" were brought to life by animator Aja Bogdanoff.
Family Channel "Sir Cuit" - (TV Bumper)
Another "Halloween Knights" Family Channel bumper, this one featuring Royal Artiste, "Sir Real".
Laughing Cow "Pole Vault" - (TV Commercial)
This Laughing Cow spot was part of an Arabic-language campaign for the Abu Dhabi Market. I created 3DS Max rigs and UI's for all of the CG characters, inclduing "BBQ", "Chili", "Olive" and "Laughing Cow".
M&M's "Love Ballad" - (TV Commercial) - 30-second version

This 30-Second M&M's spot first aired during Superbowl XLVII, and was produced at Laika with BBD&O. As an Assistant TD on this project, my responsibilties included layout, camera tracking, compositing, rendering, MEL scripting, and rigging. No character animation this time, but I did do the whipped cream effect.
M&M's "Love Ballad" - (TV Commercial) - 30-second version

The extended, 60-second version of M&M's "Love Ballad", again starring Naya Rivera and "Red".
H.H. Gregg - "On the SamePage" (TV Commercial)
I worked on the animation for this commercial with Animation Director & Lead, Alex Tysowski at Hinge Digtial - another Portland CG Company.
